ABOUT THE NECAP
In 2008-2009 Vermont used the New England Common Assessment Program (NECAP) to test students in grades 3 through 8 and 11 in reading and math, and grades 5, 8 and 11 in writing.
The VT NECAP test is based on the Vermont state standards, which define what students should be learning each year.
The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level on the NECAP exam.
