School District School for the Blind & Visually Impaired
Know your school choice options in South Dakota.
In South Dakota your child can attend any school in your district (called intradistrict choice) or a neighboring district (interdistrict choice). In some cases, transferring to an outside district is dependent on whether it would cause overcrowding at the new school.
Under the federal No Child Left Behind law, students attending a Title I school designated as “in need of improvement” have the right to attend a higher performing school in the district.
