My son with special needs has been attending Woodland Heights for the past two years. It has been the best school experience we have ever had (I have an older child). We are switching schools for the upcoming year back to our home school because the class is a better fit for the level my son is now at. We will miss Woodland Heights greatly. Dr. Pridgen, the Principal, is wonderful. All of the special ed teachers (Miss G., you rock!) are fantastic and Kendra Mills in Speech is phenominal! All of the teachers (especially, Mrs. Gabriel and Mrs. Shook) are great and you can tell that Woodland Heights is where they want to be! It is a very happy place to be!

My son attended this school for only a semester, but I was very impressed with it. He was always excited to go to school and for being an advanced child, he really felt challenged. His 3rd grade teacher, Ms. Schachner, was awesome and really seemed to be invested in the well-being of her students. She tried to involve me, as a parent, every step of the way. The office staff was always very friendly, and were quick to address any concerns I had. The principal especially impressed me. We attended one of the school programs, and she was very involved, full of energy, and obviously loves her students, her job, her school. You can really tell when you meet them, that the entire staff is proud to be there and love their jobs. I highly recommend this school to other parents!

Woodland Heights is one of the top Elementary Schools in Spartanburg County. My son attends Woodland Heights, and was coming to this school from a private school setting. I am both pleased with his academic progress and the extra effort that the school's teachers, administration and staff make to expose all of their students to the greater community around them. Woodland Heights provides one of the most comprehensive programs for its students through academic, cultural and extracurricular activities. I am extremely pleased with this school and the leadership that its administration has taken toward educating and exposing students to and about the larger world around them regardless of ethnic, socioeconomic, religious or other background. This is definitely a school for other schools to model themselves after!

Woodland Heights Elementary School is an excellent school with wonderful opportunities for all children. The faculty and staff are very friendly and they are always willing to go the extra mile for their students. My son cries when he is sick and must miss a day of school. This speaks volumes about the professional, funloving teaching staff at Woodland Heights. My family is blessed to be a part of this great school!
