The Ames Middle School is certainly top-notch. In general, the academics are above-average. Granted, the student's don't, by and large, help the atmosphere, but it is not a major issue. A sufficiently large amount of after-school activities and programs exist to make it easy to find a niche. i'd reccommend it

AMS is a great school. They actually care that the students learn. They make it interesting so the kids like it. The acedemics are second to none. There are a variety of after school programs that kids can get involved in. The parents seem to to be in the know. The most teachers answer emails fairly quick. You should no fears of what your child can learn and or become socially involved in the right enviroment.

I go to AMS. At AMS there are so many extra cirricular programs. There is an ELP for kids who need to have a challenge. There are 4 extracurricular classes for kids interested in art. AMS has so many sports. In the fall there's volleyball, football, cross country and soccer. In the winter there's girls basketball, boys basketball, wrestling, and gymnastics. In the spring there's track. For other activites that aren't as active you can choose from mock trial, DI, band, chrous, orchestra, jazz band, SATB select choir, Science Olympiad, Lego League, talent show, and so much more. Parents have their own booster club to help raise money. It helps AMS to do some fun programs.
