Everyone child should have a place at a public school. How sad that this parent and so many others at Lakeville believe that children who need extra help have no place at Lakeville and are referred to as 'the burdens of society'. Lakeville is failing the students who need them most. These children are ignored and intervention is inappropriate. Many have simply needed a little extra help in the early years but due to poor intervention and lack of appropriate curriculum to address these needs, have developed more severe reading issues and, as a result, started lagging behind in content area subjects, as well. Unless you are an affluent, naturally bright child without any needs, don't go to Lakeville.

Hands on Principle, and VP, amazing teachers, if there is a problem its addressed immediatly, friendly, fun

Lakeville Elementary School does not provide adequate intervention for struggling readers. Curriculum is outdated. The reading specialists do not correct reading difficulties nor implement programs, such as Wilson, correctly. Many children are below level and being ignored . Many parents have been forced to pay for private tutors or programs. Current research is not implemented and children in need lag behind.

Lakeville School is a wonderful school! The principal makes sure that every child's needs are met. There are 'regular academic classes' for the 'upper class children'. There are 'special education classes' for the 'middle class children'. Personal attention is guaranteed for the 'working class children' at the school. If the school is unable to meet the 'working class children' needs, they will refer them to a special education school. The burdens of society sadly have no place in this school.
