My son has been going to Salyers for 3 years. I am not that happy with their policy about the homework. What he has been getting from the school is only 10-15 spelling words per week and that's about it for the homework. I have been asking his teacher how come the kids don't have any homework. All the teachers I have asked all said it's school policy.

My son has been going to Salyers for 2 years,I think the school is wonderful. The teachers are really involved with the students and do a great job at keeping parents informed on how their child is doing in school this includes their conduct and academics. My son has ADHD, and I really was concerned that my child would have a label put on him and that he would be treated different, but this did not happen, the teachers understood what I was going through and even though my child had problems here and there, they always treated him fair and worked with me on making decisions that would benefit him in school. Mrs. Cook (1st)and Miss Lohman (K) are wonderful teachers.

My son was in Mrs. Bell's class this year. Yet another wonderful teacher! She kept me updated constantly on everything from behaviors to studies and never seemed hassled or annoyed by my inquiries. She truly cares about 'her kids' and was there for more than a paycheck! I am very happy with the education and lessons my son is learning at this school.

My son is in Mrs. Keen's kindergarten class. What a wonderful teacher. Although my son experienced many behavioral problems, Mrs. Keen made a point of going above and beyond to see him through. She maintained constant communication, letting me know exactly what techniques she was utilizing. I can't imagine any other teacher taking so much time from their schedule to ensure a child's success.
