This is a great school. From the time I drop my children off at school, I know that my children will be safe, well cared for, and of course well educated. The principal is a very visible administrator. She is there each morning to greet and each afternoon to say good bye to the students. I am impressed with the teaching staff. My child has had quality teachers all 4 years that she has been at Aikahi. The office staff is a breath of fresh air in how they work with parents in meeting their particular needs. We are saving well over 15,000 each year by making the choice to send our daughter to a public school as opposed to a private school. I highly reccomend this school to anyone who wants to be a part of school that encourages parent involvement.

Being a military family, moving from place to place and school to school is not easy. Especially when my kids get older but Aikahi has been a light in the dark for my 3 children. From the very first day of school they have loved every minute there. The teachers have welcomed them (and us) with open arms. The 5th and 6th grade curriculum is one of the most challenging I have seen (we came from CA). There is a very active parent group as well. Very strong math, science program and great use of technology in the classroom. Homework is always relavant to what is being taught and not just 'busy work'. This is the fourth school my older children have been in and it is by far the best! We had to summit a geographical exception to get in and I am so glad we did.
