Lake Ridge is an excellent school. Our daughter has been there for 3 years and she is excelling. The GT program is wonderful. So are the faculty and staff.

We have recently moved to Cedar Hill and our son is enrolled at Lake Ridge and so far, so good! We are definately middle-class (maybe lower-middle?) and feel very comfortable with the school environment. We chose Cedar Hill and Lake Ridge Elem. for the impressive diversity among the student body. My son's class is probably 1/2 black, 1/4 white and 1/4 a mix of asian, indian, hispanic...you name it! We moved in from out of state and the teacher and administrators have been more than helpful in helping us adjust to the differences in the cirriculum, activities, etc. My son has a learning disability and struggled through K and 1st...he now has a teacher who adapts to his strengths and pushes him through his weak points. Only complaint-notices of events go out just before the event and with few details...I need a weeks notice at least!
No middle class? This is a public school, if your are in the district you can attend this school. So that should not be an issue concerning how well you like a school. This is a wonderful school, great teachers and administrition.
