i went to the school for about 2 years. please parents take my advice, this is not a good school!!! There were only 2 teachers that i really thought did a good job with us and the other ones that i had were terrible. the kids i went to school with wee some of the most egotistical bullies! i started going to the school because the public school i was going to wasnt the greatest environment. i came out of that school worst than when i went in, and oh, by the way, the school caused me to lose my faith!

HCS did a great job preparing my child for college while at the same time developing his spiritual needs. I would recommend anyone in the Canton area to send their child to HCS if they want to send their child to a good college. The public schools in canton just can't compete with what HCS has to offer.

Our student has attended HCS for 6 yrs. Her standardized testing proves she is excelling in her education as compared to the national and local averages. The vast majority of the students graduating from HCS seek higher education. This school emphasizes not only scholastics but extracurricular activities and community involvement which is evidenced by the sports, clubs, and arts made available. This year the 3 co-valedictorians were 3 starting seniors on the girl's varsity basketball team. The school structure is old and outdated but you cannot judge a book by its cover; the staff and the school's families work together to maintain this historical building which is a testimony to good stewardship. We have found that if you are involved w/ the staff your concerns are heeded; those who do not actively participate in trying to improve situations are the ones who leave disgruntled. We sent our child to 2 different public school in Canton before she entered HCS. We were very discouraged by the teaching of scientific theory as fact and the negative views of our American History. HCS does have a biblical approach to education, but it states where facts are facts and theories are theories and they are proud of our history.

Children here are sheltered and honestly don't have a clue about what the real world is like. Unfortunately, they are shallow, dull, lack the social skills to converse and work with other people. My son was pulled out of here after one year--that was enough. Children come out of there odd...and yes, the building is falling apart. Ever known anyone who went here who has excelled? At what...?
