My daughter has attended Mt Calvary Preschool for 2 1/2 years. She loves this school as well as her teachers. My wife and I looked at a tons of schools and this was much better than all of the others in the area. They provide a safe and academically supportive environment. I don't get where the other reviews come from. I have never had a problem and neither do any of the parents that we talk to. I would whole-heartedly recommend them
Mt. Calvary is always striving for improvement while still maintaining it's core values. The goal is to provide excellent education within a Christian environment. The preschool issues mentioned by parents below are a thing of the past. We have an excellent director for preschool and the staff is very well qualified. The school scores above the national average in all subjects and I disagree that it is below any of the public schools. Kids who have gone to public schools from Mt. Calvary feel that they are not challenged because they are more advanced for their grade level. You should check it out.
Mt. Calvary is an outstanding school I have a unique perspective, being a parent and a high school teacher at D.B.H.S. Mt. Calvary staff is extremely supportive of parents' and children's concerns. The education is excellent. I have had students from Mt. Calvary in my classroom at D.B.H.S. If the student came from Mt. Calvary and had an involved parent in his/her education at Mt. Calvary, s/he is doing well at D.B.H.S. I've never a 'poor' student from Mt. Calvary. As far as the writing curriculum goes, I think that it is great. Excellent writers must be excellent readers. If your child is not a reader, encourage him/her to read. S/he will excel in school. I LOVE the community of teachers and parents, and most of all the beautiful Christian education which is reinforced constantly. This school is a blessing and a treasure. Send your kids here!! You'll love it!!
Many of the previous preschool issues have been resolved. My child's teacher works with him at his level. She listens to his many stories. He can't stop talking about all the great things she has done.
