At Rockville your student can make the team. The team will not be state champions, maybe middle of our division. Large schools in division 4A often beat us. My kids have really enjoyed participating. Kids at Rockville often go to state universities. Rockville is very mixed, income and race. It is not snobby or poor. I love it, you can be social, arty, athletic or an amazing overachiever. The music program is excellent.
I just graduated from Rockville and I have to say that I loved it. Classes are really small and there are so many opportunities that students can take advantage of. Also the just started a IB program there, plus there is a Journalism Academy and Computer programming Academy.
Couldn't be happier, my kids are comfortable and challenged. They have not been limited. Greatest advantage is small size, any kid can participate in just about any sport or extra curric activity they desire. Small size is a huge plus.
