DeLano meets the needs of many special education students, both physically and mentally challenged. It serves children 3-21 years of age and is a public school. Children gain more than the 'normal' education there. It is like one big family there, as all levels/grades of education know each other well. The staff assist each other as well as teaching the students. More concern is shown there than at many other schools. It is so nice to see a child enter at a young age and then graduate as a productive member of the community. My child began there at age 3 and graduated at age 21 this past May. He was the Valedictorian of his class. He is now a working member of society. When he began there, he could barely walk or talk. Now he is a success!
