I was uncertain of whether we wanted to send our child to a Jewish Day School. Now I don't know how we could ever have chosen otherwise. Among its many strengths, Brandeis has a community that I've never seen in another independent or public school. The school sets the tone, and faculty, parents and children follow, creating a warm, caring and vibrant place where children gain immense confidence and leadership skills. It has been remarkable to watch in our child, and his peers. The academics are strong and creative; the approach is 'whole child,' so that each child is meeting their unique potential and maximizing their strengths. We are so happy here. It is well worth the financial output, and the school will work with families to make it work.
Our girls have been very happy at Brandeis. Each year the teachers just keep getting better. I'm amazed at what they learn and how they are learning, always engaged in projects and excited to go to school. The arts program is also exceptional.

Ourdaughter is finishing her Kindergarten year at Brandeis, and the experience has been nothing short of magical. We had previously had a *terrible* and disappointing start to K at a highly rated Marin elementary school (Bacich). Thanks to Brandeis, our daughter is once again a voracious learner, confident, creative, and bursting with ideas and enthusiasm. We feel a warm sense of community at Brandeis, and the Judaic education in addition to rigorous academics is a huge plus for our family. The K teaching team--made up of one teacher who has taught for 30 or so years and two other teachers who have each taught for 10 years--is spectacular. The low student-teacher ratio (1:6 or 1:8) makes in-depth work with the children possible. The K uses, in part, a Reggio Emilia project-based approach to learning, which facilitates creativity, child-directed learning, and multidisciplinary exploration. L/G families (like ours) uniformly love Brandeis. Great school!

Brandeis Hillel is the only school for our children. I had two kids go all the way through from kindergarten through the eight grade. Plus, I have two who are currently enrolled in first and fourth grades. I must say that all of the teachers have been wonderfully supportive of each of my childrens' individual learning styles and each child has thrived and is thriving there. Most of the teachers have been there for a long time and they are all deeply committed to high academic standards and creative exploration through art, music and project-oriented learning experiences. As for the community, there is nothing else like it. BHDS is supported by a dedicated parent community. The leadership of our school is always implementing new innovations in learning and the most recent addition has been our math program. I love this school!
