Egremont Schools

I have been an Egremont parent for 8 years, putting both my children there from early Kindergarten through fifth grade. This school is one of the finest in the Los Angeles area. The teacher's are wonderful and extremely dedicated. Many have been there for 20+ years, and a couple of them were even Egremont students themselves. The principal is wonderful (Mrs. Eaton). You could not find a more caring, nuturing, competent person to do this job. Everyone loves her. The text books are brand new (2009), so any of the prior posts complaining that they are old are now immaterial. Egremont is a very academic school. There is a lot of homework. My fifth grader spent upwards to two hours a night on homework, and sometimes more when there is a special project due. There are also a lot of test and oral presentations. Overall an A++++ school! Highly recommended.

Egremont continues to upgarde its class facilities and is adding top notch tools such as smart boards, new computers and a whole books upgrade. With all this, Egremont remains among the top in the area and delivers the best of education.

I am a grandparent and my own son attended this school in the 1980's. Some of those teachers remain with the school today and will teach my grand-daughter. The new facilities, teachers, discipline remain consistant and results remain high. This is a school that gives students a superior foundation and a great future.

This is an excellent school. The teachers are nurturing and committed to the excellence of their students. The EK program is superb - excellent blend of discipline and paced learning. I appreciate the emphasis on math and reading - the kids have excelled at an exceptional pace. I recommend this school to any parent!
