Pine Ridge Elementary is a California Distinguished School, with an API consistently around 800 or better. It has one of the best Library Media Programs in the State with a full time Library Media Teacher and a part time library media tech. Current research and best practices are the foundation of the instructional program. The curriculum is differientated for each learner, with depth and complexity added for high end students. The technology is state of the art and all students starting in K have access to it and are expected to use it. All students do several research projects yearly in collaboration with the Library Media Teacher. Art and Science are integrated into lesson plans and student work adorns the halls. Being a small school the teachers can have a very caring, supportive relationship with every child. The principle is always accessable and visable. Parents are everywhere on a daily basis.
