Our children have been attending Desert Christian since 3 year old pre school. Overall , on an academic level, I feel it is excellent as long as parents are willing to support their child at home and make sure the child is doing their part. The administration can be very patronizing, but in the end does make the best decisions they can. Our children are reading above their grade level and are advanced in their math abilities. The teachers will go the extra mile, especially if the parent shows interest and involvement in their childs education, and if you've done your due dilligence picking a good teacher. The only area of improvement would be to have a much stricter discipline program for children who do cause problems and are hurtful to other children, not just pray for the answer to be solved, but have action and discipline as well.

I went to Desert Christian from the age of 3 to 18 and could not have felt more at home. Of course I hated how political some of the teachers were and how if students had a certain last name or their parents made a certain amount of money they could do whatever they wanted, but overall, the school treated me well.

My son is at DCMS. It is our first year with DCMS and my husband and I are greatly dissapointed. I had hear such rave reviews and our experience has not been one to rave about. My son has been picked on and influenced in an ungodly fashion. His work ethic and attitude have changed alot since atending DCMS. (Not for the better) We are more than half way through the school year and he is still having 3-4 hours of homework everynight. I'm sure this is a great school if your child has been there since Kindergarten. My son does not seem to fit in with the long-time attenders. Needless to say we are serching and praying about finding another school for next year.

My daughter and her life long friend both attended Desert Christian Schools for their education. Both went to Point Loma University and achieved Summa Cum Laude Diplomas. Third and seventh in the graduating class top 10. We were rewarded a Teacher and a Berkeley Lawyer. They were able to compete on an International level and come out on top due to DCHS. Highly recommended.
