I am a parent with two children at Red Rock and my daughter has attended school since kindergarten. She has always maintained pretty good grades my son started kindergarten this year and seems to be adjusting fine. I wish there was more parent-teacher activities to speak of.

I have two children who are students of Red Rock. I have had good experiences with their teachers, (Lewis, Brittelli, and Davis), and with their focused reading program. However, I have had an overall disheartening experience with the school in general. I was disappointed to find soda and very low quality junk foods being served to the students at all events. When I tried to express my concerns to the principal and other staff over encountering students cussing and in one experience having pornography on campus, I was laughed at for mentioning such insignificant events and told that the school was in a poor area and that I was expecting too much. While I understand that public school is no safe haven, I am saddened to find such a jaded staff with low standards of acceptable behavior. Additionally, students have NO access running water; the school is drab and dilapidated.

The special ed class my son was in was very disappointing. To be fair, I only have experience with the one classroom and teacher and have no basis of analysis for the entire school. I observed on multiple occasions-1 hour naps, 1 hour of play, separating disabled kids from nondisabled peers during inclusion activities, sick children being permitted to remain in the classroom rather than the nurses station or being sent home, unexplained injuries and the teacher would tell me to get my son out of the school. For my son, it was your basic baby sitting service. I suggest parents monitor their children's development. Please do speak to the teacher if you do not see improvement, or if you see regression, as was my case.

I have been very pleased with the Red Rock staff. I have two children in this school, and the teachers are wonderful. These ladies have gone above and beyond this year, and I realy appreciate the school district much more than in the past knowing you have teachers like Mrs. Lewis, Mrs. Cindy Hall, and Mrs. Anderson on staff. Mrs. V and Mrs. C that run the Safe-Key at this school is top rated to me as well. I would have been lost with-out them this year, and I am sure I am not the only parent who would say this! This is a great staff! Thank you for Everything!
