Excellent school, even better under new administration (the previous principal was less supportive of family involvement as noted in 11/2007). Wildwood is a gret example of remarkable public education, that ensures that all students are given an opportunity to thrive and become excited about learning.

I think it is unfortunate that this school with all of its resources fails to live up to its potential. Individual people, teachers and staff, are wonderful but curriculum is uninspired and fails to accomodate the rich diversity of students (differentiation just doesn't happen) and this is in classrooms that have ample staff and volunteers. The administration fails to support family involvement and seems at times to be setting up barriers to families rather than forging bridges.

Wildwood is an excellent school. My daughter (4th grade) has been there since kindergarten. She had some special learning disabilities, especially in reading and writing, as well as some behavioral issues. When I was told she was recommended for testing and eventually for SPED services, I was really disturbed. My whole world that revolved around my perfect child fell apart. The Wildwood team worked closely and carefully with her, and now she is back in the mainstream classroom. I was really impressed! I couldn't believe that they actually evaluated the situation and then were able to target her disabilities and bring her up to speed. Wow!
