Stonington is a wonderful area to raise children. Academic standards are high. Art, music, library and gym are offered. The children annually write and sign a 'contract' promising exemplary behavior. Student citizenship is a high priority. The students are delightful and inquisitive. Two of the teachers are problematic. It is well known all other WBSS teachers are exemplary and provide their students wonderful school years. Lori Longori (district psychologist) is wonderful helping children adapt to stress, offering boys or girls support groups once per week. Principal Jordan is politician first, educator second. A 'favoratist', allowing certain parents to choose the good teachers for their kids. Perhaps she is restrained from removing inadequate teachers. None-the-less, she vocalizes concerns about architectural issues while vehemently ignoring parent and student problems. Volunteering parents to choose another school - and I did.
