My daughter started grade one late in the year (October) Her teacher made her transition seamless. She was buddied up with a friend so she didn't have to play alone, she was made queen for the day. At the end of the day she felt so positive about her first day. Her teacher also prepared all the children for my daughters arrival. This made the kids very excited to meet her! This year has been outstanding. What a wonderful school. We couldn't have asked for any better!
We were relocated to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and, after much research, chose to purchase a home across the street from Hidden Lakes Elementary. We could not be happier with the school! Our children have attended HLES for 3 years and have thrived in the environment created by teachers and administrators. A truly exemplary school!!!

One word of caution concerning bullying at HLE. Just because one personally did not experience bullying at HLE does not mean that it did not happen. It happened for several years to several children. I am glad that you personally did not have to deal with any issue like that nor do I wish it on anyone. As for BCI as a parent I have listened to a lot of people concerning BCI and I agree with you and I would not just dismiss your experience/opinion with BCI just because I personally did not experience BCI myself. We have taken percautions and our child is not going to BCI because of issues just like you stated. I agree with you about HLE teaches way too much to the TAKS. School starts and kids are already stroking out about TAKS. The pressure is just too much on these kids.
