My daughter has been going here for over 2 years. We have moved around a lot and were looking for a friendly, safe, nurturing school with strong academic standards. Forest Lake meets those goals. We are very happy we found Forest Lake. The staff are committed and standards are high which we had not found in the California public school system. I highly recommend Forest Lake!
my kids have been going to this school for one year, they've loved it and the academic standards are great. they have a very loving staff and very loveing students, a very safe enviornment.

While FLCS does provide a somewhat safe Christian enviroment, the academics, particulary in the junior high and high school are substandard to what is necessary for preparation in today's college and work environment. We had 4 students who attended FLCS and we found that they did not receive adequate instruction; particularly in the math, English, science and history courses. Sadly, these are the core classes. In addition, the lack of AP classes was a detriment to our children who were shut out from attending the colleges they preferred. They are last on the list to get their college classes, even in Christian colleges. We regret sending my children to the high school; we failed them in doing so.

My 3 children have all attending FL. I LOVE the Christian influence and dedication. I am a bit concerned in the academics, however. The public schools have advanced their academics pretty dramatically in recent years and I just wish our school would do the same because I am so worried that my kids won't be as ready for college. Other than that, I love the school.
