My kids have been going to Stuard for several years and we have loved it. There is a great balance between academics and fun. Another reviewer feels the GT program should have room for more kids, but it is my understanding that to be considered gifted, a child must attain certain scores on the GT admissions testing. They follow accepted nationwide standards, which understandably are very high. In a couple of grade levels, there are not any children who qualify for the program. They could have gone ahead and let top scorers in, but kids are not considered GT unless their scores fall within a certain national percentile. The GT program is great and Mrs. Vicotry is most excellent.

Stuard has a good overall quality of academic programs. There are great programs for gifted children, however the number of slots is too limited for the population of this school. Parental involvement is extremely high. Extracurricular activities are average although participation is high. The school has a good principal and a great assistant principal who is on top of everything. Currently, I would rate this school as excellent with room for improvement however. The area is growing fast and will put a lot of pressure on this school in the near future.
