I am currently a junior at SPHS, and I have to say I love it. Teachers really care about your grades, and weather you pass or fail, as long as you have a good attitude. Time is taken to make sure EVERY student is on track for graduation, even if it means transferring to to the SUCCESS program. Our athletic teams are excelling this year along with officially becoming an IB school. I am proud of where I go to school and the success that will come from attending it.
I had heard many negative stories about Stony Point High School during it's first few years. I was not happy when I learned our private school was closing and my son would have to attend Stony Point 9. But, I've been pleasantly surprised. The new principal has a strong vision for the school and many of the negative stories I heard were exaggerated by the local media. My son is now a junior and he loves it there. He has made lots of good friends and is very involved with several campus activities. I feel he is safe and flourishing. He has never regretted moving from his old school. The only trouble he's had is being overwhelmed by taking all Pre AP and AP classes (at the recommendation of a counselor). Too much homework caused stress and some bad grades but he's bouncing back strong!

We recently relocated to the Round Rock area from Houston, TX and in my search I was drawn to Stony Point. I met with the staff and counselors over the summer and this helped solidify my choice in campus for my son. After attending Open House it was clear the direction the leadership and staff have decided this campus is heading. The teacher-student expectation is clearly communicated along with the consequences. The parents who were in attendance were clearly committed to their child's education as well as the school's mission. I look forward to the achievements that will come for my son both academically and extra curricular. With time comes growth and wisdom and I like what I'm seeing from Stony Point High!

Our daughter opened SPHS in 1999 and graduated in 2003. My son started at SPHS in the fall of 2003 and graduated in 2007. There were growing pains as in most brand new schools but the knowledge base and experience of the teachers couldn't have been better and the facilities are state of the art! Excellent school!!
