Boyd Elementary is a great school with a wonderful staff. My daughter loves going to school and i have been very pleased with her academic progress.
This is a wonderful school. The teachers really care for the children. My grandson has been in Boyd for almost his entire school history. He went to a school in Arlington for awhile and although he was away only six months, he lost almost 12 mnth's reading ability. When he came back he went back to the same yeacher and she was so disapointed, and said so much of the hard work they had done was lost. The teachers have not stoped working to get him back on track. These teachers care so much for their students. I would not want my grandson to go anywhere else. I think they are the best....
I am impressed with the academic program of this school. The teachers and staff do a wonderful job emphasising manners and education. I also like the small classrooms. The teachers are incredibly busy. It is nice that they do not have 20+ children to guide. I feel that my daughter is given ample instruction, guidance and encouragement as well as attention. I am glad to have found this school. I hope the upper level schools are as good!
My Child attented this School here for two years and in those two years, I was not impressed at all with the communication between teachers and parents. I was constantly trying to figure out what it was the teachers wanted from my child. I felt my child was given too much homework for his age and wondered what they did in class. I have talked to other parents who's children graduated from this school with honors and now can not pass college entrance exams. I have also spoke with teachers who at one time taught at these schools and there comments were 'that is the worst school district I have ever seen.' I would strongly recommend anyone looking to move out to this area to find somewhere out of this school district. There are other schools in the area rated much higher. I have since transferred my child to another school district and am very pleased.
