I really do like this school, my son has been going to Longdale for 5 years now, (started in Kindergarden). The teachers are very focused on the task that no child be left behind, and they do a good job of that, and they are patient with the kids, and as parents we really need that.
Three graduated from Longdale in my family. Wouldn't have gone to any other elementary school in Henrico County. Wonderful teachers and principal. Great facility.

We recently relocated form out of state and 2 of our children are attending this school. I believe that the staff do genuinely care about the children, but a variety of circumstances (social and economic) negatively impact the overall effectiveness of the school. It is just not the environment I was looking for. Now that we have felt out the area a little more, we will be changing schools again next year.

I have 2 children in currently in this school. We moved to the area because of the school. My children really like this school. I will say that over the past year I have seen a change in the quality of the school, not necessarily for the better. The teachers are very active and concerned about the students. I have been able to work very closely with both of my children's teachers. I would defiantly say that they are willing to go the extra mile to help your child if you as a parent are willing to. I would like to see some of the parents show more concern over their children's education so that Longdale can remain a quality school. Overall I would rate Longdale a a good school.
