Jefferson West High School

I absolutely love this school!! Of course nothing is perfect, especially with teenagers, but the teachers are very understanding and helpful with all the students. Not only do they teach them the books but they also prepare them for the real world!! Not only is it a great place for students but they keep the parents well informed of what is going on.

I am currently going to jeff west and it is an amasing school the teachers are friendly nice i have never seen any bullying at the school by a teacher. There is only one teacher that chooses favorites in her class but that is it.

Jeff West is an amazing school and I feel I have been given an advantage over other students because I have attended Jefferson West High. Not only does Jeff west excell in Band, but also in numerous sports. Despite the other comment, the art deparment is outstanding in comparison with nearby schools. The students are very accepting and more friendly than most high school students are. I admit there is a lack of culture diffrences, but Jefferson west always has a wide array of forgien exchange students, along with an exchange program to go to Bebra, Germany. The teachers are amazing and extremly willing to work with the students. Currently Jefferson west has a 'late start wednesday' at which time, students have the opportunity, from 7:45 to 9:00 , to meet with the teachers and get extra help. This is extremly benificial to students especialy those who are involved in sports.

I have not been impressed woth this school at all. It allows bullying by teac hers, exclusion by students and ingnores the needs of kids with disabilities who do not meet the requirements for an IEP.
