I go to palmetto middle school its awesome and the teachers actually take time to care about you and help you especially the 6th grade teachers on team 7 they are probably the best teachers you could ever wish for and Mrs.Anderson if you read this i know this a run on sentence but ohhh well heheheh... you need to come visit palmetto some time its Awesome!!!!!!

With any school, there is room for improvement; however, Palmetto Middle School teachers work very hard to make accommodations for all the students. After having two of my children attend all grades there, I have come to appreciate the amount of work assigned to the teachers in addition to teaching. I have even volunteered and witnessed the work load of the teachers. Also, I do feel they do all they can under the constraints they have. I do feel, though, discipline could be more strict, but that has to come from the administration. Overall, I have been very satisfied with the school, especially when I compare it to other schools that are not up against the same issues. Yes, I have known of some isolated situations that were not pleasant, but dealing with as many people, emotions, and problems that exist is difficult. Thanks to the teachers who work 10-15 hours a day!

I rate this below average because of grades and teacher professionalism. When you have a child that makes nothing below a 95 for 3 years enter this school and start immediately failing classes and their best grade is an 88, there is something wrong. After much digging, interviewing and networking I have found this to be the case for a number of other students as well. The professionalism of the staff is far below average. Teachers will tell parents one thing, then when the administration questions the teachers their stories change drastically to fit the protocal, teachers ignoring parent's requests for updates and meetings, and parents being talked to and treated like students when they approach an administrator about anything negative, that is beyond unprofessional. Never at any time should a parent have to wait for administrator's to finish a conversation about a ball game before they are acknowledged!
