Outstanding school! Faculty really puts forth the extra effort for the students. Lots of technology usage activities for the kids. Administrators keep parents informed and are very easy to access. I will send all of my childred to Byrd.
Overall very good. Challenges: lunch sitting policy; field trip usage-- not applied fairly to all students; inappropriate use of mass communications, eg computer call to all homes by prinicpal saying that something happened; can't tell us what (due to privacy concerns) other than it has been taken care. It is believed that this type of call has no value. Some very talented and dedicated teaching staff.
I've been going to this school and have been extremely satisfied. They have a great staff Mrs. Pope (the principle) has been doing a great job. The sixth grade teachers such as Mrs. Kendig, Mrs.McGrath,Ms.Bell,Mrs.Wiliams,Ms.Madison, and Mr.Aboud to do a great job. I find Mr.Whitmoyer,Mr.Ingram,Mrs.Keel,Mr.Craig,Mr.G,and Sr.(Mr.)Diaz to be great teachers.
My daughter studies in this school. The teachers in this school are outstanding and very enthusiastic about the development of their students. We observed that Ms. Madison, Ms. Mallon and Mrs. Roop are some of the best teachers who can bring out the best in the kids. The school also have A - Club which facilitates community service very early in the children who get A grades.
