This school could be so much more than it is. It is a beautiful building with what could be an exciting science lab, which is empty. Instead of staffing an enrichment science teacher, the school pulled a 2nd grade teacher out of the classroom who now is in charge of quarterly testing and some curriculum duties. So the science lab has no living critters in cages, no experiments. Our experiences there were mixed. Our older child attended 1st - 5th grade, and had a pretty good experience. Our son attended in 1st and 2nd grades, and we moved him to Montessori school after that. If your child won't thrive in a 'one size fits all' situation, watch out! Our son is gifted and ADHD, but the school didn't identify him as gifted. We have since been informed he is highly gifted, but he felt stupid at Clemson Elementary.
