When we moved from a larger school too Hanover Middle/High School I found out my daughter was just being pushed from grade to grade not knowing basic math skills ect. So the teachers are helping her catch up too where she's supposed to be at. I like the fact the staff and teachers know each student even there parents. The one on one help they give students and how much they care about the students. I love this school district. Thanks to all staff for being there for our children.

Small classes and individual attention are the primary things to love about this school. Additionally, Jr High Basketball has a very involved coach who tries to make sure everyone has a chance to play. Teachers and Administrators encourage parent involvement, and the district is small enough that when you call and identify yourself they almost always know what child or children you are calling about. They will send home work or fax it to you if your child is sick. Teachers also encourage kids who are doing well to assist those who need more help understanding subject matter, which I think is a great skill for kids to learn early. I love this district. My son began attending in 4th grade, and when his class reached 19 pupils they split the class.

As a parent of one former student and two current students, I would recommend this school. What it lacks in course variety it makes up for in a close knit community. The staff really cares for their students and work hard to help them succeed.

Hanover has a limited amount of academic extracurriculars because of how small it is. The High School has seemed to have a little troble in the past finding new staff that is qualified enough to handle teaching but this is not the case for all new teachers.
