This is a world-class school with the very best teachers and a solid philosophy that prepares kids to be happy and productive adults. Amazing.
Both of my children go to the Waterford School and we love it. The children get avery hands on education. They study a topic across subjects. For instance, in third grade, they study Egypt. They dry fish in science, they make egyptian objects in art, they read about it in history and they even have a day to dress up and eat like egyptians. This is a small example. The education gets better and better as they get older. It is really like college in the sense that the students participate in class heavily.
I wasn't a big believer of private schools, however, my two children started at Waterford this year and I am blown away at the quality of the teachers and the atmosphere that is several levels above any school I have been involved with. The teachers are better than most of the college professors I had at a prestigious private University. ( they have parent days where you can go to all of your kids classes and participate)
Our son has attended Waterford since Kindergarten. He is now in 4th grade. We are extremely please with Waterford. Their method of not only teaching but helping students lean how to lean is most impressive all the while the student actually enjoys school and learning. Their comittment to enhancing the lives of each student and truly understanding their individual needs to help that child achieve their best is unmatched. They also teach students to give back to the community as well. I give Waterford 5 stars! Thanks
