We have several children, our youngest is currently in the dual-immersion program.WOW!! I wish I had known about this program when our other kids were in elementary school. Oldest kids actually went to the neighboring more affluent district, there is no comparison. Don't get me wrong, the other district is a good place, but the dual-immersion is a hidden gem. My elementary school child helps his older siblings with Advanced Placement Spanish high school homework. As far as standardized tests (which was my initial concern) he (and classmates) are outperforming every other group (I looked at the data by subgroups). We have always paid for after-school programs for our other kids (at the neighboring district), but here they have two awsome programs for FREE and a snack is included. The staff is professional, friendly, and know my child by name. The drive across town is so totally worth it.

I am a social worker for foster children. I love this school. The special ed program is outstanding. Also, the teachers and staff are hardworking and great to work with. These people care about their students! You don't get the 'run-around' at this school.

Leavenworth epitomizes excellence in education. I have one child who currently attends the Dual Immersion Program and one that completed his elementary education at this school. The academic program at Leavenworth offers a challenging learning environment with cultural and extracurricular enrishment activities

I love the teachers at Leavenworth. My son is in Kindergarden this year and it's his second year at Leavenworth. He attended Preschool there also. Both years have taught me a lot about what my son's teachers are able to teach him. Everyday is a new learning experience for him and me as well. Because he is my first child, the teachers have taught me a lot about his learning experiences. I love the fact that my son comes home every day able to teach his sister what he learned that day at school.
