Denfeld is an older school, built in the early 1900's. The teachers all seemed very engaged. Overall a very good school, however, there seems to be a lot of lower income students attending who don't have any interest in completing school. I think this causes the test scores to be lower and the crime rate in school to go way up.
I should have hated my high school years, but I loved them because of the spirit of Denfeld. Despite being a self-proclaimed nerd and teachers pet, I was respected and accepted. The teachers are amazing and inspiring when given the chance to shine, and the history and spirit is second to none. You have to make an effort in order to slide under the radar in this school. I am now attending the George Washington University in Washington DC, and I can say that the education I received at Denfeld prepared me to compete with students from private schools all over the country. I compete with them, and I often out do them. This is a testament to the value of our public schools and the great education I received at Denfeld. Go Hunters!
