I had to apologize to my daughter for sending her to Cedar Heights. The level of education (honors track) varies from very good in History and Language Arts to below average in Mathematics. The weakness is administrative and control. Administrative control is detached and cowardly, reacting versus becoing involoved/interacting with the students..Overall very disappointed.

i go to this school and am in honors. ALL of my teachers are very good and have a fun and interesting learning environment.

Cedar Heights is not a great school, but it is not a bad school. This school has average discipline for a middle school. The principal, Mrs. Grutko does lots of things behind the scenes, but is never interacting with the students. She leaves that to her assistants. I see that as a problem. The teachers seem content with teaching everything that comes out of the book, except a certain few, such as 7th grade history teacher Mr. Maier. He is the kind of teacher you would want. Some teachers are just getting to old and grouchy to teach, while others seem bored with their job. Others like I said, are very good.
