As librarian since 2002, I can say that I work in collaboration with all teachers with two student outcomes in mind: (1) they love books and have access to their favorites, and (2) they learn how to conduct inquiry: asking questions, investigating, and using multimedia to create projects. I love working with our bilingual staff and our kids become pretty sophisticated thinkers and fluent in two languages, if not three! I applaud them and our teachers. My son goes to the school here and sometime they can be a little bit out of control. They need more help.
my nephew goes to school here.. from what I've seen-- the school is not organize and poorly managed. classes are small, but the students are not performing well.

I have children that absolutely love and enjoy being in this school. Every teacher I have dealt with have always taken time for all the students.I'm not sure why it has been rated soo low, but maybe it's the funding for the school-teacher can only help but so much. But as far as the teachers they are great as is the parent coordinator.Parents are always involved-and i think if the city put more attention into how special this school is, I'm sure more would be done to help it become better!
