This is nat a bad school!! yes they are struggling , and there is always room for improvement. I went to this school as a child and yes the times have changed. Now we are worried about gangs and violence within the schools. I would not just put the blame on one person. But look at ourselves as a community. The dedication from the faculty and the principle are there. So where are the parents to back them and our children up? I am a single parent, I am making an effort. I cant do it alone though.
This school has the potential to be a succesful school, however due to poor leadership skills Jefferson is not a school I would send my children to. The teachers are dedicated to the students but there are such bad feelings in the school due to the top down organization and or comman by the principle that the teachers have become very resentful. I do not recommend this school, or should I say, I do recommend the school, but warn parents away from a school run by this principle.
