Fantastic Montessori school. My child attended HMMA for 5 years and was accepted into a traditional, structured private school this year. (5th grade) He is excelling socially and academically and loves to go. He still stops in at HMMA to say hello to the staff and kids... a great environment and education. He commented the other day that he misses the depth of the Montessori manipulatives offered at HMMA. His conceptual understanding of foundational concepts is excellent. The staff truly knows and cares about each individual student.

A school is only as good as there leaders and this school has terrible leaders.I know this first hand you might see good reviews but I promise you that they are from the parents who were given favortisem. We had a great first yr then everything change the second yr ,the guids changed, communication stopped. My child tells everyone of her bad experience at hmma.
I agree with this rating. The language materials were not prepared at the beginning of the year. It took me and several other parents weeks to prepare the materials, cutting and laminating only to find that the remaining items for the language program - the objects - were not available to the students. So the language program sat even longer. Nobody seemed the least concerned that months went by before this program was up and running. The teacher was a first year teacher with an assistant who although was very caring had no experience in childhood education or working in any classroom. There was poor organization among the primary teachers and the children never even went on so much as a nature walk much less a field trip. Not even a visiting field trip...very sad for the children.
