Excellent school. Quality teachers, administrators. Good leadership. Facilities need upgrading but still a quality school. Makes transition to H.S. convenient.

Mayer is lead by a Principal who shows no interest in providing an academic environment that supports academic achievement. I have one story that summarizes countless instances where the current Principal supported teachers as they violated numerous school board policies in the treatment of children who have exceptional academic records and absolutely no disciplinary record. A teacher told my child she was greedy for trying to be the best in her class. Unless you believe that mediocrity driven leadership is good for the education of your children, avoid this school like it is radioactive. Examine Fairview s academic record against similar local school districts, and you will find that we are generally at half the normal performance level. At $11,500 spent per student per year, this poor record can only be achieved by leadership that does not care. Good people of Fairview, you are being robbed of your children s education.

Lewis F Mayer is a wonderful school with great kids, teachers, coaches, and parents. It will continue to be great with all of our parents getting out there over the next few months and make sure our levy passes in November. Remeber it is for the kids. My kids our the fourth generatio of my family to attend Fairview Schools. My grand parents, my parents and I all have sacrificed for our kids and schools...I hope you all will do the same.
