I am very pleased at St. Gertrude School. Not only does the community participate actively in the Parish but there is a sense of community and faith all around. The teachers are very dedicated and hard working individuals. Administration has set forth higher standards and an competitive academic school environment. I recommend this school to anyone seeking a quality Catholic Education.

I am a former student with one sibling still attending St. Gertrude's School, and am soon planning on enrolling my own son into a parochial school. As with most paroichial schools, you get a private education for a more reasonable price. The faculty, staff, parents, and students are all part of a closely knit Catholic Community, which you can count on becoming a part of whether you like it or not. It has a safe schoolground, provides great preperation for a lifetime of success, and instills in children morals and values by which to live meaningfull lives. I only give four stars and not five because of its slight lack of materials and technology.

I think St.Gertrude is a great school, people often tell us that we are wasting money by paying for something we could get free. When visiting schools in surrounding area and looking at the drop out rate in the LAUSD system, comparing the overall education that neighbors kids receive. I feel it would be an injustice to place our child in the public school system in this area. It puts a financial strain on our family. The education our child receives is well worth the sacrafice.
