Central is the most diverse school in the Iowa City Coralville School District system; dynamic - forward looking - solution focused - student centered - with indoor/outdoor classroom, in a park like setting. Located in the heart of historic Coralville, within the residential community. Student body participates in and donates to the community, nurturing the whole persona as our future.

This school has been a great environment for my kids. Their teachers are good, the parent involvement is outstanding, the traditions that are special at Central are a lot of fun. We loved Mr. O'Leary but have been impressed with the new principal, Mrs. MJ in her ability to command a sense of respect and pride at Central. There is huge diversity here, but kids accept each other well.

I love how there is so much parent involvement in this school. The teachers are all great and they care very much about their special education kids, too.

The principal Mike O'Leary sets the tone for the students, staff and parents. He is an extremely hard worker who cares deeply about this school. There are excellent teachers at every grade level and my wife and I have been very impressed. Coralville Central has a diversified population of students with different cultural backgrounds which we feel is also a very positive experience for our girls.
