All three of my children graduated from Kennewick High and were involved in a multitude of activities. The teachers at Kennewick High are some of the hardest working educators around. People make a school and Kennewick has some of the best people around.

The academic programs are top of the line, all extra cirricular actvities are available, and parent can get deeply involved. School spirit is a little lacking though.

There are some excellent programs at Kennewick High School. If your child is a decent student I highly recommend the IB program there. The teachers and counselors associated with that program are the best in the buiding. The band and orchestra programs are also very fine although the quality of the student musicians in the Tri-Cities area tend to be poor. The team sports are also pretty good. The parent support is good, but its a small group of parents that provide the most support. There is drug use among the middle and poorer kids. The open houses are poorly attended and the principal's leadership is lacking.
