After 2 weeks of my daughter going to this school I had her transferred. Her teacher was unorganized and sloppy. My daughter was not being educated in this school Everything was by memorization not problem solving. But I have come to find out it is like that in all public schools in Lawton. But Eisenhower is graded a 4 for a reason. I now know why.
This school is horrible. Both the secretary and the principal is clueless. They offer no assistance to parents when you have questions or concerns. My children are used to being challenged and they are not getting that at Eisenhower. They complain that all they do is go to PE and outside everyday all day. They need an overhaul of teachers, leadership, and new curriculum badly.

Eisenhower Elementary has some potentially good (albeit unmotivated) teachers, but the school sorely lacks strong and dynamic leadership. While my children attended this school I recognized that it may not be the best school or have the greatest resources, but I felt that their teachers were good enough to make up for what the school lacked overall. Now that I've moved elsewhere, I realize how wrong I was! This was the first school my children attended, so I had no idea just how terrible it is. There are virtually no 'extras' available (art, technology, etc.), music classes were disappointing, classroom instruction is not challenging, and discipline is lacking. The district's gifted program is a good one, but nothing was done to challenge my children the other 4 days of the week. This school really needs to step it up and become a more dynamic, spirited place for learning.

Both of my children went to this school. I changed duty stations to Omaha,NE. You don't know what you have until you leave. This is a great school with many advanced programs.
