As a community member, I am amazed at how much this school does in service for others. The day after their own prom, COL students put on a 'prom' for senior citizens in a nursing home in Winter Haven. The students are also active in Penny Harvest, the Invisible Children project, Habitat for Humanity, and a local soup kitchen. Also, this is not an 'elite' school. Although an application process is used to intake students, student entry requirements are quite accessible- you do not have to be an honor roll student to get in. It was just recently announced that COL earned the highest minority scholars (minority honor students) for the district. Further more, COL has the highest scores for Grade 11 FCAT Science among all district schools. The school maintains a very informative and interactive website and uses the website to publish the Voyager newsletter, which is outstanding.

This is a great school for those fortunate enough to get in. It has very high standards. The staff is fabulous, hard working and always available for thier students. My son will graduate this year and we are both going to miss it.
