I am a parent of my child, she goes to Paul R Smith and her grades have improved with lots of A's since we moved from her old school with F's

I have to agree that the leader of the school is satisfied with being friends with the students instead of being a firm structured disciplinarian. There is way too much room for laziness. The students are allowed to be lazy with no consequence. They're allowed to misbehave and get a 'slap on the wrist'. I think most teachers are trying their best, but if they aren't supported by the principal, there's not much that they can do. The school grounds are nice though, very well kept.

My daughter transferred from Pinellas county, and was having trouble getting help with her academics there, and I had a real problem with the crowded school system there. We are very happy to say that she has made straight A's this year, and the honor roll. The classes are smaller and my daughter is getting more help. I had to call to get an early release and I had to answer 5 personal questions that i had to go get forms out of my file cabinet to answer, this NEVER happened in Pinellas county they just release the kids to anyone with a note. I believe your experience at a school is what a parent and child make it. I think this is a great school and that the faculty is doing an outstanding job!!I feel well informed as a parent, and my daughter is successful, that is most important!
