I am a former student and a parent of children currently attending this school. I loved it as a child. It was very warm and inviting for me. My children love this school as well. They have made many friends here and my oldest feels that it prepared her for Columbia. My youngest has challenges and the teachers have met those challenges and helped her learn and grow. I have serious concerns of the principal and her abilities to keep staff. The principal must be a leader for the children and if she cannot provide that leadership for her staff then its not there for the children. The biggest thing that is holding that school together is the excellent teachers that have commited themselves to the school, children and the parents of the community. Hats off to the dedicated staff for a job well done.
Dartmouth Elementary is an Excellent school. I went to this school for all five years and I feel I was cared for. These teachers supported with everything I did. They had high expectations but they weren't out of reach for the students who attended it. I would recommend this school for any child who wants to learn and go far in life. Parents this is a good school and I wouln't recommend any other Elementary school.
This school is wonderful! The entire staff was attentive to our son, and he excelled far beyond our expectations. The principal was always available to talk to, and his teacher frequently let us know how he was doing. Very open atmosphere. Very friendly staff. I would definately choose this school above any other elementary school around!
Dartmouth is a school of disapointment. While attending this school, I did not feel comfortable in the enviroment and the principal did not allow a lot extra curicular actvities at this school. I also felt that I was not being pushed hard enough at Dartmouth and felt unprepared for middle school. Dartmouth has a couple of excellent teachers, but I would overall not recomend this school to your child.
