Sycamore Elementary School

This school is terrific! My daughter has had wonderful, supportive and encouraging teachers. The new Principal is willing to listen, and truly cares about the children in this school. The PTA is great, but could use more support from parents. The only complaint I have it that some of the Yard Supervisors are militant, and seem to forget these are children, not troops. As for the comment about safety, parents need to make sure children get thru the gate, after that they are good. I would give this school 5 stars!

not checking for students behind buildings or still out side of class room not enough supervisers on ground, i had walk to my car and i had my daughter outside of the class room standing and no one checked or her teacher didnt atemp to look and get her, if my daughter had left the grounds i would blamed the school and school district and i dont see this school is safe at all, dealing with young kids they need more rules and supervisers and wait 30min after bell has rang unless they want to deal with a missing kid and be the blame. thanks

Fantastic. So far we were happy with our daughter's teachers in K, 1st and 2nd grade.

I have been the Office Manager at Sycamore for the last 17 years. I am so very proud of our staff, our students, our parents, and our amazing PTA. They are an outstanding team and I enjoy working with them every day. As I register new students for the 2009-2010 school year I am excited to meet so many caring parents and enthusiastic 5 year olds just beginning their journey in education. Many of them chose Sycamore as their School of Choice which tells me they have heard good things about Sycamore. We are all so happy and eager to welcome them to our family of learners!
