I have a daughter in this school. Most of her experiences have been good. In fact when the decision came up that they were blending schools, I chose to keep my child at MES and not go to West Hills Elem. The principal really appreciates her students, staff and parents. I agree with the comment about security. There isn't really any. Someone could walk in and go right past the office to the classrooms. Not very good.

I am not pleased with this school and in fact I am removing my daughter. Most of my concerns are about her teacher. She sent my daughter home with a concussion. Kids fall. BUT she did not TELL me that she fell, there was no injury report, and when I asked her about it, she said, in spite of what the doctor said, that it was probably just a virus. She also sent her home on the wrong bus, and didn't respond to my note about that. She had us horrified about our daughters reading grade, which we then found out was an 81. She said in front of her that that is not good enough. As for the security, 5 relatives who were not on the list have picked my daughter up,and were not questioned.I don't have space to tell it all. I like the pricnipal.I'll let you know how she handles this.

I have been extremely pleased with Marshall Elementary School. My daughter is a 2nd grader and her teacher, Mrs. Moorehead, is exceptional. My daughter enjoys and wants to go to school, which says a lot. The principal, Dr. Patsy Thomas loves her students and that makes me feel good to entrust her with my child. Great job MES!
