This school is truly a disappointment in any way, shape, and form - this is not a pessimistic view of the school, rather it is pretty optimistic. Lack of discipline, lack of training, and no support from either the faculty or the community, this school forced me to educate myself than to depend on the 'trained' educators in the school. I will thank you Hueneme for showing me the patience and commitment of a two year old on a sugar rush.
I received my secondary education not too long ago at hueneme and went on to successfully complete a degree at an elite university. while it is obvious that the constant change in administration affects the management of the school, many teachers are top quality. students will often have to look for the resources because that is also very obviously lacking. but otherwise, if students do their part, hueneme will be a good school in terms of the education they receive. the real question is how the community of oxnard will come together to create an environment conducive to learning and long-term success. that, I think, is what lacks the most.

I think Hueneme is a great school! I just graduated this year and currently attending CSUCI. Thanks to the programs available at this school I was also accepted to UC Davis, Cal Poly Pomona, San Francisco State and San Diego State. Moreover, about 10 students of my graduation class, including myself were accepted to UC schools. Each year Hueneme is encouraging more students to go to university and their techniques seem to be working.
