Some teachers are very nice and good but others are terrible. i personally did not like the administrators
Great clubs...I mean who else has a rubiks cube club and other really obscure but popular hobby clubs? The sports are exceptional, basketball, girls and boys are phenomenal. Football is a very huge program, cross country is always at their best, our band is excellent. The teachers are so personalized with their students. You can relate and talk to any of them. Spirit is above average here. I mean no one wants to compete with us anymore in spirit competitions because they can't beat us!!!
As a current student, I must say that though there have been classrooms that are being filled to the brim, this all creates a rather companioned overtone. With many people come many ideas, beliefs, and philosophies, and most, if not all, teachers are willing to have open debates in their classrooms for their students to really dig their nails into important issues. Science labs are far from outdated (however, when that review was written, they were). Walls were broken to combine two classrooms to one, all new lab equipment, and a much easier learning facility for that department. Lancer sports are famous for being outstanding in whatever field they happen to be on, though they do have the ability to be extremely political. I look forward to having my name next to Thousand Oaks High School on my diploma this year, and I hope your child will too.
Only the strong survive in this school. Submitted by a parent September 25, 2005 heck yes, we are lancers, only the strong should go to our school. This is a great school, sure some things are out of date but the photo class just got all new and more computers. Its the only school where you can see people walking around with guitars and being who they want to be. We are known for our spirt, thats why only the strong are lancers, not because its hard.
