I am surprised at reading the other reviews. Yes everyone is nice and sweet. But I find the staff disorganized and lacking a clear plan. Perhaps it is lack of communication skills. I also find the school rules arbitrary. We are disappointed that there is no organized sports program to get the kids active at a young age.
We love Longleaf Elementary school because it is such a welcoming atmosphere for parents and students. The principals and teachers care genuinely for the students, whether they have learning disabilities or not, they are all treated the same. Love It!!!

I am from NY and was concerned about the school district when we decided to move here. I found, however that Longleaf far exceeded all my expectations. The teachers and staff are wonderful, loving, creative, and caring. My son is flourishing in Longleaf and has surprised us all with what he has learned already.
As a parent and teacher alike, I'm thrilled with the learning environment my children are a part of at Longleaf Elementary. The philosophy at this school brings out the best in each child and respects the individuality of each and every child, regardless of his/her differences. Administrators, office staff, resource teachers, teachers, students, and parents work together cohesively to make this community worthwhile and enjoyable. Students are respected and cared for at Longleaf Elementary and I would highly recommend this school for any child or family new in the area.
